The determination of L4 to continue with their brilliant play and winning ways was fully in their minds as they embarked on the Sunday match against top of the league Uni of Leeds 4.
The lake of water had disappeared from the pitch but it was more a water than sand based pitch for the match.
UoL4 showed why they are top of the league with a goal before L4 knew what was happening. But as has been this season there was no disappointment or drop of heads, just determination to get level.
Beautiful play up the pitch resulted in an equalizer by Nina and this was the way for the rest of the match.
It was end to end attacking with great defending by both sides. UoL4 scored again and Becca evened it up.
By now the full on game was tiring out both teams and after UoL4 scored again they decided to defend more than attack.
L4 had short corner after short corner narrowly missing the goal and the equalizer seemed moments away, as the time ticked away Hannah M managed to hit the target and at 3-3 it was all on.
Both sides were trying for that winning goal but as the best opposition UoL4 have had L4 showed we are not a team to underestimated or that will allow that last minute goal against us and the game finished 3-3.
A draw felt like a win and now L4 are unbeaten for 3 games, long may that continue.
